The Nuerburgring Kartbahn was paid a vist by one of the UK's rising young go kart stars, Lewis Appiagyei, this Easter. The 10 year old karter from London has had a lot of press back home in the UK and relished the opportunity to get some track time at the famous F1 circuit. Lewis was visiting his family here near Trier and the time spent at the Kartbahn served as excellent preparation for his upcoming trip to Dubai in May where he will take on some of his competitors in the SODI World Series of karting.

Lewis, who has declared in the British press that " I am going to be an F1 champion", when at the age of 7 he was given the honour of the entire back page of a newspaper, something normally reserved to the stars of the sport world. The title read "Lewis MK Two". Last year he was even invited to the palace of Westminster for an award nomination which he went on to win.

His determination and talent to be an F1 champion of the future, has not gone unnoticed by one of Europe's biggest private equity firms Bridgepoint. They jumped at the chance to be the first to sponsor him. They said " we would be proud to say they were the first to sponsor Lewis when he becomes an F1 champion. Lewis in his acceptance speech said to all the kids watching him: "Believe in yourself, believe in your dreams and everything is possible."
